Back in 2012, Reyhana decided to make a change for the stronger. She discovered a passion for CrossFit and began competing. Before she knew it, she opened up her own CrossFit gym in Dubai with her husband. Catch how she’s now inspiring women all over the world with her positivity!
What is your name and age?
Reyhana Harper and I’m 38 years old.
What inspired you to get fit?
When I was younger, I was skinny and used to weigh 45kgs. It was only in 2012 that a new sport caught my attention and I started doing CrossFit. I saw amazing results and was addicted! I started taking it seriously and entered into a few local and international competitions. Fast forward to 6 years and now I own my own CrossFit gym with my husband in Dubai. We named it Iconic Fitness, home of CrossFit Duo. It has been successfully running now for almost 4 years!
What keeps you motivated to live the healthy life?
As a wife, coach and business owner, I feel it’s important to represent our values. I have members, clients, family and friends who look up to me and I have the responsibility to keep them inspired on a daily basis. It keeps me going when a member would say "It's because of you I didn’t give up!" Fitness is my livelihood and my career.

How do you balance life, work, training and family?
It's important to listen to your body and feed your soul often with meditation. I enjoy taking the occasional solo vacation trips and going for spa treatments. I also enjoy having breakfast, lunch or dinner on my own to reflect the day or week.
What is your favorite body part to exercise and why?
I love the combination of body weight exercises like gymnastics and doing Deadlifts. These are my favorite movements as each one contributes to a certain element of strength and sexiness.
If you had to pick three key exercises - what would they be and why?
Weightlifting - you gain strength. Constantly varied movements - it challenges you that way you don’t get bored! Another favorite is compound movements - these target multiple muscle groups and cuts your time in half when you at the gym.
What is your favorite cheat “treat”?
I’m a sucker for frosted cake, frosted donuts, and chocolate!
What do you think is the biggest misconception about women in fitness?
I often see women punish their bodies in the gym after eating a bad meal. Life is all about balance and moderation. Another is that women think cardio is the best form of exercise to lose weight. This is not true. Lifting weight will make you lose weight!

I loved that it was the perfect fit. I instantly felt sexy and couldn’t wait to show it off for my fitness photo shoot. Once I received it I started thinking I should get ALL the colors :)
