Family is everything to Lizzie. From wanting to be a good, healthy role model for her two kids to training with her husband, Lizzie manages to find the sweet spot that mixes family and fitness perfectly (and while looking amazing doing it)!

 

 

What inspired you to get fit?

After having my second baby, I didn't recognize the body standing in the mirror. After being released for physical activity, my husband signed me up at the gym, took me under his wing, and as I say, created a beast.

 

What keeps you motivated to live the healthy life?

When I first started, my motivation was working toward that perfect body. Once I realized that having the perfect body was an ever changing idea, my motivation changed to my kids. My kids started to see how hard I trained, what I ate, and they slowly started to embrace our healthy, fit lifestyle. I'm so proud to say they can workout right next to me, and keep up.

 

Describe yourself in three words:

I'm a DORK who is PASSIONATE about life and loves to HELP other women reach their goals.

 

How do you balance life, work, training and family?

Balance is something I seem to struggle with lately. Everything seems to revolve around the kids and work, so if I know I can't get to the gym I'll do a home workout. All while hanging out with the kids.

 

What is your favorite body part to exercise and why?

I'm a lover of all my body parts, I try and make sure my body is balanced. I can easily gain muscle in my upper body, but my Glutes tend to be the muscle I have to work on a little more.

 

If you had to pick three key exercises - what would they be and why?

Lat Pulldown - I think having a good strong back can prevent injuries. Hip Thrusts - my go to workout for building my glutes, they never let me down. Zotman Curls - having nice toned arms is so attractive, and it definitely makes you look like a bad ass.

What is your favorite cheat "treat"?

I love In-N-Out Burger, 4x4 protein style, with animal fries.

 

What do you think is the biggest misconception about women in fitness?

I'm pretty sure every woman who starts out lifting hears, don't get too big! We are not men, I promise, you will not be a buff dude.

 

What was the best part of wearing Affitnity? Did you love the clothing? Tell us why :)

I love the way the clothes hug the body, for example the shorts, they're so soft and they don't make the muscle on the back of my leg cinch up.

 

Anything else you would like us to know?

I love gym clothes as does every woman and I just love the craftsmanship that goes into every piece of clothing.
